We are pleased to announce that in addition to our other upgrades scheduled for this coming month, we will be releasing both a desktop application for Mac, Linux and Windows based on the Adobe Air framework, and also an application for the iPhone which will allow you to remotely monitor and administer your server. You will receive a push notification, or a pop-up on your desktop, if any problems are detected with your VPS and can reboot/reinstall/shut down remotely. The clients will also allow you to monitor your resources and bandwidth usage almost in real time so you can keep an eye on your application load.
At present, we have adopted OpenVZ as our virtualization technology of choice. However, we understand that some customers have greater requirements such as the need for compiling custom kernels, and some simply prefer the way memory is handled in Xen. Stay tuned, as we will be offering Xen and Xen-HVM shortly, and of course we will be announcing a pricing structure as competitive as our OpenVZ pricing!
